PROJECT BACKGROUND

SEDI is an intiative by Ambudja Cement Foundationwho laid the foundation of skill training by setting up good quality training centres in various locations in India.

SEDI offers short, intensive vocational courses that aim to archieve sustainable livelihood by strengthening youth's technical and functional skills.

SEDI offers skill training in 44 vocational skillsets with representation of 39% female and 61% male aspirants

COURSE DETAILS:

Rabiyawas- SEDI Jaitaran, 60 trainees in Sales and Marketing. Marwar Mundwa ( SEDI Nagaur), 60 trainees in Sales and Marketing SEDI Bhatapara, 60 trainees in Sales and Marketing

OUTCOME:

The curriculum is imparted successfully to all trainees ensuring theory, practical , exposures soft skills and IT skills.
Socio- economic development of households and enhanced self-esteem and confidence is visible among the trainees

2024 has been a year with a strong focus on sustainable development for STC, in addition to the social development and training. Recognizing that solar energy is an industry of the future, and that electricity is a big multiplier of economic progress, many actions during the year where focused on developing people in this fast-growing area

Youth Employability through Skill Training: Electrician and Solar Technician

To train solar technician at location with required training infrastructure on solar technology at Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Project Overview

Concept:

• The rapid expansion of renewable energy solutions,           particularly solar technology, 

• Demand for solar installations and maintenance continues to grow, 

• There will be requirement of technicians proficient in both     electrical and solar technology.

• To bridge the gap a comprehensive training for Electrician cum Solar Technicians is essential.

Objective:

• Equip 100 youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair solar-powered systems efficiently.

• Facilitate youth from rural areas in pursuing careers in solar energy and aims to create a pool of competent technicians capable of contributing to the sustainable development of communities

Infrastructure Development

• Establishing a dedicated solar lab at SEDI Gandhinagar.

• Setting up advanced equipment to support hands-on training.

Skill Development

• Training youth as proficient Solar PV Installers and Operation and Maintenance Technicians.

• Enhancing employability for rural communities.
